Our award winning, Top Tier corporate and investment banking client wants to bring on board a 6 months contract staff to join the Equity Derivatives business. The team is planning to automate the production of the most frequently used termsheet, which will leverage internal tools.
Strong communications skills within this role is required, as you will collaborate with multiple teams (Sales, Structuring, Legal, IT). Technical knowledge with VBA, python, and/macros preferred so that you can perform some light coding.
The successful incumbent will have at least 1 year experience within a banking operational position, ideally as a trade support or trade assistant, with particular focus on understanding the post-trade workflow. Fresh graduates with relevant exposure and internships will be considered.
Take the lead in the automation project to streamline the sales and trading workflow
Work with FO and IT to design the termsheet automation templates and the system migration strategy
Implement termsheet template design with a fast turnaround time
Assist the EQD e-business team in handling some of the administration tasks for the electronic platform
Bachelor's Degree in Finance
Good understanding of equity derivatives products and at least 1 year relevant experience in banks/financial institutions. Fresh graduates with relevant internship experience may be considered.
Basic understanding of some programming languages (eg. Python, VBA)
Presentable and excellent communication skills; ability to challenge other stakeholders
Well organized and extremely detail oriented to handle lengthy documents
Self-motivated and pro-active team player
