Blackstone is seeking an Analyst/Associate in the Business Finance team based in the Hong Kong Office. Reporting to the Head of Business Finance for Asia-Pacific in Hong Kong, the Finance Analyst/Associate will be responsible for working closely with the Real Estate, Private Equity and Tactical Opportunities Groups' acquisition, asset management, finance and other support teams on deal execution, reporting and financial operations and management.
Working closely with the acquisitions and finance teams on deal execution support and onboarding
Working closely with various teams across Asia and New York on funding coordination (line of credit, capital call, distributions)
Responsible for monthly, quarterly and annual reporting tasks such as reviewing monthly management accounts of SPVs, reviewing quarterly cash / NAV, reviewing annual financial statements and tax reporting packs
Liaising on audits and working closely with service providers and auditors
Preparing funds flow files for funding, repatriations and distributions
Reviewing transaction documents
Analyzing project specific costs and T&E
Involvement in proposals on cash management and financial reporting framework for new deals
Ah hoc tasks, analysis and projects as and when required
Chartered Accountant with 2 - 4 years of experience, ideally including time in a Big Four accounting firm or financial institution
Experience in the funds, asset management or private equity industries highly regarded
Regional Asia-Pacific experience (China, India, Korea, Australia, Korea, Singapore, Japan) is ideal
Effective communication across various functions and offices globally and hence possessing excellent interpersonal and communication skills in verbal and written English is a must
Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint with fast and exact data processing skills
Highly professional and self-motivated and able to effectively work as an individual contributor and possess strong analytical, problem-solving, critical thinking skills, and able to multitask and deliver under tight deadlines
A desire to work in an international team environment requiring global coordination between offices, often under pressure and with multiple stakeholders
Quick learner with the ability to quickly turnaround ad-hoc requests in a fast-paced environment
Must operate with the highest level of integrity
Overseas working experiences is a plus
Fluency in English and Chinese/2nd Asian language highly regarded
