Venn Group are currently recruiting for an SMR Specialist – Company Secretariat role to join an established compliance team within a global bank.
This city-based firm is seeking a candidate to maintain and update SMR documentation, such as job descriptions, submissions to the regulator, annual evaluations of roles and requirements, and therefore will be filled by someone with previous SMR exposure.
Prior experience dealing with regulatory submissions, either to the PRA or FCA, will be instrumental in this position, as the successful candidate will be expected to compile concise and informative reports on a regular basis. The candidate will represent the banks' London branch in multiple matters involving liaison with other branches.
Understanding Compliance/HR policies and procedures, role responsibilities amongst departments, and Learning and Development plans is expected. Additionally distribution of these reports and contribution to internal meetings to implement changes is also expected. The successful candidate will be able to manage their responsibilities as well as respond to ad hoc duties that arise, demonstrate effective communication across the bank, both written and verbal, and use sound judgement to implement change in a timely and accurate manner.
This contract position sits at an AVP level and is set to begin immediately, as the firm is able to on-board successful candidates remotely.
