As the HR lead for Singapore, you will report directly into the Regional Head of HR for AEJ.The role requires you to support the Head in all HR matters and initiatives for Singapore.
As a pro-active and results-driven HR Generalist, the successful candidate will be involved in the full spectrum of HR delivery, working with internal and external clients on HR issues and implementing the best HR programs consistent with firm's policy and strategy. The successful candidate must be able to operate in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Drive operational and executional excellence in key employee life cycle processes such as on-boarding, off-boarding, learning and development, payroll, compensation and benefits.
Ensure all HR operational processes within Singapore are delivered efficiently and in compliance with global and regional policies and local regulations, enforce adherence and mitigate any potential risks.
Provide business partnering support to senior managers in the region, supporting the people strategy and agenda that will help achieve their business unit objectives, improve employee engagement, conduct and culture and diversity and inclusion.
Execute compensation and benefits processes for Singapore , including global processes on annual salary review, promotion, performance management, talent management and recognition programs.
Use employee metrics, market trends to determine the efficacy of people processes and apply insights to re-engineer existing processes and/or build effective HR solutions to business needs
Develop HR team and work closely with all stakeholders
Responsible for Employment Regulations and practice in Singapore
Participating and representing the firm in Employer, Employee and Government bodies as and when required
Provide business partnering support to senior managers in the region improving the conduct and culture, actively lead disciplinary investigations / reviews wherever required from Singapore Country perspective. Manage and maintain resolution of employee grievances etc
Support the Head of HR on all HR initiatives and people agenda for Singapore
Identify and review HR policies and benefits program in place across Singapore to ensure adherence and compliance with regulatory and firm's standards.
Partner closely with HR solutions, specialist teams and advisory team in rolling out HR initiatives and ensuring alignment with regional/global policies and /or compliance with country regulations.
Be responsible for publishing Country metrics reports for stakeholders (joiners/leavers dashboard, etc) and coordinate auditors and regulatory requests .Communication, reporting and providing documentation as and when required internally and externally
Undertake ad-hoc HR projects as and when required
Partner and lead initiatives with functions - Corporate Citizenship ,Diversity and Inclusion, Corporate Communications etc.
Work closely with other HR generalists and specialists to foster teamwork and a positive work environment through frequent collaboration and sharing of best practices
Key Experience & Skills
10 plus years of human resources experience in an advisory/generalist role in a fast-paced environment including track record in taking lead coverage and consulting with senior managers and internal clients
Strong technical HR expertise including Singapore labour legislation, compensation, employee relations and staffing
Strong interpersonal, communication, follow-up, problem solving and creative thinking skills
Strong technical HR expertise, including benefits, Singapore local market and statutory knowledge
Ability to lead a team with strong project management, prioritisation and communication skills
Must be meticulous and detail-oriented with ability to juggle multiple priorities and competing deadlines
Strong relationship building and influencing skills are a must including previous experience in working in a diverse, demanding, multinational environment.
Ability to think strategically while possessing the knowledge and intelligence to quickly solve day-to-day human resources issues. S/he should possess the judgment and maturity to balance the interests of the division with the overall goals and values of Nomura
