Associate Director of Planning & Analysis / VP of FP&A

Our client is an international asset manager with strong presence in Asia. To meet their upcoming expansion plan, they are looking for an experience financial planning talent to join their regional team as Associate Director.
Analyze the drivers and provide commentary on the P&L performance for the Asia region.
Prepare regular report to provide business update and performance review to the business team.
Participate in annual budget and quarterly forecast process to prepare revenue and expense projection.
Consolidate AUM across countries to provide a projection of the Asia region.
Maintain regional flows and AUM database in order to have timely and accurate data.
Lead and drive improvement initiatives to enhance / automate systems and controls.
Response to ad-hoc enquiry from senior management and business team.
Preparation and review of month end financials
Liaise with regulatory body and internal & external auditor
Assist in the development and growth of junior staff in the team through informal mentoring or other methods as appropriate.
Undergraduate degree or an equivalent combination of training and experience required.
Professional Certification (CPA, CFM or CMA) preferred.
Minimum of five or more years of directly related FP&A (or equivalent) experience required. Financial services industry experience is preferred.
A demonstrated ability to take initiative, working independently and drive solutions.
Strong problem solving, analytical and organizational skills.
Strong verbal/written communication and stakeholder management skills.
Assertiveness to seek out information through contacts throughout the organizations.
Comprehensive understanding of broad financial concepts including accounting, tax and finance.
A broad knowledge and perspective of asset management business preferred.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
Experience in Hyperion Essbase and PeopleSoft Financials or SAP has advantages.
