Provide day-to-day operations for back-office processing and settlements of Debt Securities, Repo & Reverse Repo transactions as well as other Treasury products such as FX/MM and OTC Derivatives transactions.
Familiar with IPA (Issuing and Paying Agent), Settlement Agent, and Custody functions for various debt securities in both Primary and Secondary markets
Ensure the execution of transactions are meet HKMA/Regulatory standards and monitor the completeness and accuracy of the transactions
Liaise with various internal parties such as Treasury, Transaction Banking, Risk Management, FTD, L&C for resolving any operational, settlement and system issues relating to Treasury products
Handle SWIFT / RTGS / PVP payments and CMU / Clearstream / Euroclear instructions within the delegated authority.
Perform management reporting and regulatory reporting in accordance with business units' needs and regulatory requirements.
Understand and familiar with the Collateral Management process relating to Repo & Reverse Repo
Understand and familiar with various ISDA Definitions, GMRA documentation
Assist in compilation of regulatory and H.O. reports in relation to treasury operations and function.
Participate and take lead in various projects relating to Treasury Settlement, provide user requirements, and conduct UAT where applicable.
Provide training on new workflows and procedures to team members for new products / business as well as new system functionalities.
Review operation procedures and ensure enforcement and adherence to the bank's guidelines and regulatory requirement
Handle the implementation of new and revised procedures, systems to improve the operational efficiency.
Implement proper internal control and procedures for managing operational risks
Keep abreast of market and regulatory changes and ensure staff are aware of those changes
PRC business trips are required
Provide business support on HK public holidays.
Degree holder or above with good business acumen.
At least 5 to 10 years of relevant work experience with strong knowledge product knowledge in Fixed Incomes and Derivative of FX, Interest Rates, & Equity, with minimum 2/3 years at supervisory / managerial level.
Good knowledge of market best practice and familiar with the Settlement & Confirmation process of Treasury Products and OTC Derivatives, including experience in SWIFT, RTGS, Euroclear / Clearstream, and CMU.
Familiar with ISDA definitions and ISDA confirmations framework, HKTR Trade Reporting, Central Clearing, and other regulatory and compliance requirements for Treasury business.
Capable to lead, drive and deliver projects relating to Settlements, Confirmations and Regulatory requirements for Treasury Products and OTC Derivative.
Detail-oriented, numerical and careful, presentable, professional, and a team player.
Strong drive and commitment, hardworking, excellent ability in problem solving, perform under pressure and deliver on schedule.
Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new environment / platforms for the business as required.
Good command of written and spoken English, Chinese and Putonghua.
Good communication & interpersonal skills to cultivate and build a strong team; able to negotiate, persuade, & influence for desirable results.
