Working in tandem with engineering team to identify and implement the most optimal cloud-based solutions for the company.
Planning, designing and developing cloud-based applications using knowledge of a wide range of available technologies.
Automating and orchestrating cloud-based platforms throughout the company.
Installing and configuring operating systems and application software.
Implementing best practices for system security and data analysis.
Troubleshooting and resolving all technical issues when they arise.
Liaising with vendors and keeping relevant stakeholders such as Developers and IT Architects up to date with developments.
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Information Systems.
Certification as an AWS Solutions Architect or in Microsoft Azure. Any other Cloud Security Certification and/or OpenStack Administrator Certification is a plus.
Excellent communication skills in listening, writing and speaking.
Experience in any of the following is an asset:
Developing software using languages such as Ansible, Java, Python, C++, etc.
SOA applications and cloud-based services, preferably AWS.
OpenStack, Linux/UNIX, Rackspace, Docker, Kubernetes and Microsoft Azure.
Web services such as API, REST and RPC.
Splunk or other SIEM
Strong awareness of networking and internet protocols, including Cisco, Palo Alto, TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, HTTP and distributed networks.
Database experience, including knowledge of Oracle, SQL and NoSQL, and related data stores such as Postgres.
