We Offer Product Control are the Financial Guardians of the Bank's trading activities. We are a global function employing around 800 people, present in offices across EMEA, APAC and the Americas. Our crucial role is fulfilled by ensuring complete, accurate and timely P&L, Balance Sheets and analysis. We also conduct the independent validation of the value of our trading portfolios and work with the businesses and the new business product groups to evaluate & integrate new products and businesses into our financial environment in a controlled manner. Product Control also guards the banks trading activities via the provision of reliable and meaningful financial information provided to the business managers, external business partners and other relevant internal constituents. Importantly, we also execute controls to detect unauthorized trading or unusual activity and raise in a timely manner to senior management.
This is a VP role in the Product Control department based in Hong Kong acting as the primary business finance officer for the APAC Equities business encompassing the full suite of Cash Equities and Prime Services business divisions (Including Delta One Trading).

Owning the face-off with the front office trading management across APAC offices for the Equities business
Partnering with the offshore team on accounting, valuation and process issues impacting the production and validation of the financial documents, i.e. P&L and Balance Sheet.
Representing Equities PC in strategic change forums
Review of key control Key Performance Indicator's for the business, working with the offshore PC team to improve the overall control environment in a commercial manner
Representing PC at key control and governance forums with the business and other support function business partners
Coordinating and managing responses across equities PC to adhoc requests from the business, regulators, and internal partners (Risk, Legal Entity Finance etc)

Outstanding interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills
Degree qualified with at least 10 years postgraduate accounting, auditing and product control experience. Prior knowledge of Equities financial products including derivatives will be an added advantage.
Experience with managing a team and the output of others across locations
Outstanding analytical and problem solving skills with a high level of numeracy and keen eye for details
Ability to work independently to resolve issues, including liaison with other departments and senior management as necessary
Ability to develop a good understanding of front to back trade and data flows
