We're looking for a Fund Manager's Assistant who's keen to apply their analytical eye and methodical approach to investment.
We want someone who can learn their way around our products, the industry, and the foundations of asset management. You'll do it by getting to grips with the essential administration that leads to well executed trades.
You'll be busy, hands-on and can-do. Checking the numbers, monitoring trades and reporting performance to help Fund Managers make the best choices for our clients.

We sit in the buzz of the Fixed Income Investment Team alongside the Fund Managers. We provide the solid operational back-up, making sure that the team does a great job of managing investment portfolios, carrying out clients' wishes and sticking to our rules.
We're right at the heart of things. Working with our Investment, Trade Operations, Accounting and Legal teams. And dealing with custodians, transfer agents, fund houses and consultants.

What you'll do
Work closely with the Portfolio Manager to calculate and implement trades across the desk portfolios.
Exposure to Government and Corporate Bonds, Money Market, Futures, CDS, IRS, FX and FX Options.
Responsible for reviewing pre-trade compliance, ensuring all trades conform with client mandates and in-house rules.
Ensure all trades are correctly reflected in our Investment Management system (Aladdin).
Monitoring portfolio currency and duration profiles daily, and rebalance where necessary.
Monitor cash projections, considering impact of margin, collateral, flows and trading activity.
Monitor fund flows, highlighting impact to duration and currency profiles, and rebalance where necessary.
Manage Asset Allocations and rebalance accordingly.
Manage life cycle events such as implementing FX and Futures rolls, and corporate action events.
Manage all new client on boarding and transitions requirements, such as in-specie transfers.
Liaise with a number of in-house departments and third parties with respect to monitoring trades and general maintenance of client portfolios. Responsibilities will include liaising internally with Investment Managers, Portfolio Accounting, Trade Operations, Legal and Corporate Action teams. Externally with Custodians, Transfer Agents, Fund Houses and Consultants.
Identifying and carry out improvements in existing process.
Help identify and mitigate risk in current processes.
The knowledge, experience and qualifications that will help
An interest in investment management
Experience in financial processes and systems
A degree-level qualification
IMC would be an advantage.
Excellent PC skills, particularly Excel, VBA skills an advantage.
Experience using Bloomberg content and financial tools
BRS Aladdin knowledge would be an advantage.
