We are working with a long-established and very successful European fund with a great record in the mid-market across several markets. Its hallmark is driving company transformation through growth and other operational initiatives, often managing through complex transition arrangements. The team are low ego, entrepreneurial and highly motivated and view their culture as one of their greatest strengths. This role will be as Investment Manager leading much of the deal process for Swiss dealflow, from sourcing to execution to portfolio value creation. Candidates are expected to spend an initial period working with senior colleagues in Frankfurt. RESPONSIBILITIES:
Play an active role on origination, representing the firm in this key market with target owners and critical advisers
Lead execution workstreams to bring promising opportunities through the investment committee process - negotiation, diligence, structuring, financing and IC presentation
Supervise junior colleagues throughout, and represent the firm on portfolio company boards
Candidates should ideally bring existing private equity investment experience; we may consider relevant advisory experience as well, by exception
You should demonstrate a strong network and knowledge in the Swiss market and be capable of generating incremental dealflow immediately
While it is not essential to be a Swiss national, this may be helpful; native level German (and ideally French) as well as English are essential
You should show the potential and ambition to reach a partner level in the medium term
