Better requires process, discipline, and simplification As a seasoned advisor in general commercial and financial services law, we'll look to you to advise the business, regional entity boards and other internal stakeholders on key European regulatory legislation and developments. You'll be confident in representing us on diverse issues and coordinating with external counsel. Using your negotiation skills, you'll diligently negotiate contracts and skilfully counsel stakeholders on risks; ensuring we remain current and advise the business and senior legal leadership on changes to the regulatory and competitive environments in the EU. You'll help research and monitor new and existing laws in coordination with local counsel and compliance colleagues. You'll assist with regulatory initiatives including the preparation of regulatory communications, handling of regulatory inspections and proceedings, and regulatory relationship management. You'll also provide general legal assistance concerning corporate commercial matters and review and advise on new and existing product requirements.
You'll need to be a holder of a Law degree and be a fully qualified lawyer with extensive post-qualification experience, working within a law firm or corporate legal department preferably in a multinational payment or broader financial services environment. You will have a proven track record of strategic legal work in a corporate business environment, holding positions of advancing responsibility and interfacing with senior executives. You will need to be able to demonstrate legal expertise on complex regulatory issues in Europe, with a focus on Irish financial services (chiefly payments and banking) regulation. You'll combine your strong knowledge of European regulation and how it impacts the payments and financial services industry to influence and advise. Previous experience of agile working methodologies is also desirable.
