The Research Strategist is a seasoned professional role. Applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge, contributing to the development of new techniques and the improvement of processes and work-flow for the area or function. Integrates subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area. Requires in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the function and overall business. Evaluates moderately complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact, where development of an approach/taking of an action involves weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting situations using multiple sources of information. Requires good analytical skills in order to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex and dynamic material from multiple sources. Strong communication and diplomacy skills are required. Regularly assumes informal/formal leadership role within teams. Involved in coaching and training of new recruits. Significant impact in terms of project size, geography, etc. by influencing decisions through advice, counsel and/or facilitating services to others in area of specialization. Work and performance of all teams in the area are directly affected by the performance of the individual.
The strategist is expected to collect, outline and explain information giving insights that drive creative solutions in the Macro environment in which our clients businesses operate. Their insights provide clarity the client needs to make investment decisions.

The UX researcher is a partner in our user experience design teams. These teams are at the heart of everything we do. Youâ€™ll be tasked with deriving actionable insights and recommendations for UX by partnering with Citiâ€™s region-wide customer feedback team, helping to improve our customer experience. This position is also tasked with setting up and maintaining regular user tests to validate design decisions. Inside the team, this role will be working closely with producers and senior designers and use human feedback and make strategic decisions to inform the design process. As such, this role is fully focused on helping the team understand what it does not see, so it requires lots of empathy, ability to connect dots, drive and grit.Â Our wish list for the ideal Candidate (that would be you):
Bachelors Degree in Liberal Arts, Business, Communications, Human Computer Interaction, Information Design, Interaction Design, Psychology or a related field MBA or MA preferred
At least 4 years of experience developing, testing and implementing strategies that drove measureable results
Experience in designing lean qualitative and quantitative research studiesÂ
A trained user researcher comfortable with various digital/mobile research technologies
Understanding of psychology and behavioral science
A passion for observing human behavior, cultural trends, and emerging technology
Identitfy how to solve the problem and ability to turn verbatim into insights by identifying customer, cultural and competitive insights and writing creative briefs
Passion for uncovering rich quantitative and qualitative insights from NPS data, digital analytics, first/second and third party research that propel teams forward and fuel remarkable solutions
Understanding for regional diversity and ability to advise on solutions that best suit all
Experience participating in the Design process and practicing Design Thinking
Manage multiple workstreams with varying timelines and complexity with authority and passion
Partner with other strategists, analysts, researchers and business leaders at Citi to create Design briefs and set expectations for deliverables
Help package concepts and insights and present to internal stakeholders in persuasive, articulate and compelling ways -- charismatic storytelling skills are a must
Be a motivating and inspiring force in the team that helps everyone reflect on decisions and see diverse view points
Be the voice of the customer, the oracle of cultural trends, and a champion for authentic brand experiences
