A core C++ developer is required to join the Regulatory Reporting workstream for a Tier 1 investment bank supporting the Delta One Structured Products IT group. This is a global front-office team that supports the global OTC Equity Swap Portfolio, Single Name, and Index derivative businesses.
The candidate will be responsible for supporting and developing Regulatory Reporting systems in a capital markets environment, dealing with UK, US and Asian compliance regulations. The role would suit candidates who have a foundation in Java with particular emphasis on C++ and DB2. You will be responsible for developing required intra-day and end of day reporting systems enhancements, writing quality unit tests, liaising closely with the business users to elicit and document their requirements, producing release notes, providing support in the UAT testing stages, co-ordinating release signoff, providing bug fixes, assisting in the production deployment activities, and providing ongoing production support post-deployment.

Skills Required: - You may have a Bachelors or above in Computer Science / Maths / Engineering disciplines - Strong C++ experience - Experience in Scala in an enterprise environment would be beneficial - Unix/Linux or Perl basic scripting - RDBMS Sybase and/or DB2, with a proficiency in writing SQL queries to extract information - Excellent oral and written communication skills - A genuine interest to learn the business supported by the applications
