Responsibility for the funds' Special Purpose Vehicles ("SPVs"), property companies and holding companies mainly in Luxembourg
Instruct and oversee SPV administrators to ensure performance is in line with agreed service levels
Review SPV financial statements prepared by SPV administrators
Support audit process for SPVs and delivery within agreed timelines
Liaise with a wide range of internal stakeholders and external service providers to ensure the quality and timely flow of financial data
Provide deal support, including financial analysis and execution of deal cashflows
Monitor SPV cash and manage cash distribution process
Review completion accounts and support acquisition and sales process for SPVs
Review drawdown and distribution schedules prepared by service providers for accuracy and ensuring they are in line with tax structuring advice received
Manage SPVs' treasury including review of budgets and review payments prepared by administrators
Review VAT and Corporate Income Tax returns prepared by administrators and tax advisors
Contribute to the valuation process by providing inputs to the calculation of gross to net adjustments
Reporting to the Senior Fund Controller and joining a team of finance professionals based in London, Luxembourg, Amsterdam, etc. The individual will be expected to build strong working relationships across the European Real Estate operation (deal team, service providers) and the wider business.
Strong academics and fully-qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA), newly-qualified up to 2-3 years post-qualified (note: our client will also consider those at Finalist level, if they bring relevant experience)
Real estate or private equity experience
Desirable experience will include hands-on experience with overseeing property level and holding company level accounting and a solid understanding of Luxembourg investment structures
Strong financial analytical skills
Excellent attention to detail
Ability to learn quickly and work under pressure/ to tight deadlines/self-review
Enthusiastic, hardworking, and a team player, confident in dealing with people
Willing to take control and responsibility but also happy to work within a wider team and within agreed processes
