Do work that matters: The Customer Remediation Team Risk function reports into the Executive General Manager, Customer Remediation. The team comprises of a range of experts that are delivering broad line 1 risk related activities across the Remediation Agenda.
The Senior Manager Risk Advisory will lead a small team of risk experts to support the remediation programs in effectively managing risk. The role of the Senior Manager Risk Advisory is being embedded into and responsible for working closely with the remediation programs as the trusted risk adviser to proactively address and manage risk matters, influence risk outcomes and to support effective customer remediation and uplift the control environment where required.
Work in a motivated and diverse team, driving the Customer Remediation agenda to:
Support and advise the programs in identifying specific risks and issues and ensure their timely management;
Support and advise to uplift the program specific control environment and influence the right risk outcomes;
Support and advise the business with their ongoing ORMF activities;
Advise program and stream leads to ensure risks are appropriately considered in decision making;
Provide insights and recommendations on a program level to the EGM, Customer Remediation; and
Conduct deep dives.
Be a role model for the outcomes and values we expect.
Be accountable for your team's work, even if specific tasks are delegated.
Detecting, removing and escalating the team's road blocks are your responsibility.
Set clear expectations for your team on the outcomes and behavior they are accountable for and provide support, training and clarity on consequences.
Create a positive environment with key business stakeholder to have open and honest dialogue that demonstrates the imperative of effective risk management in supporting key business objectives.
Develop and maintain an effective network in CBA's broader risk community to leverage experiences, align with the broader group and obtain guidance where required.
Develop and maintain relationships with the Chief Controls Office and the Central Remedial Action Plan team to pro-actively understand and facilitate expectations into the CRT team.
Closely work with other members of the CRT Line 1 Risk function to ensure seamless delivery of risk services.

Act with minimal direction to deliver high quality outcomes.

We're interested in hearing from people who have:
Excellent applied knowledge of the Group's ORMF
Ideally Customer Remediation or Wealth Management experience
Solid understanding of Data Privacy, Technology and Supplier Risk
First experience in leading small teams
Ability to build sustainable relationships and partner with the business and the broader risk community
Tertiary and or/post graduate qualifications - hold a tertiary qualification in business, finance or a related discipline and post graduate qualification (CA/CPA/CFA/MBA) preferred.
Risk qualifications (e.g. CPRM, CRISC).
Sound business acumen and discretion.
Strong computer literacy, with advanced skills with MS Office products, JIRA, and SharePoint.
