Front Office Market Risk Analyst, AVP Location: London Who we are looking for: A high performing Risk Manager who will join the Front Office GM Market Risk Team which is a global team and is responsible for supporting Global Markets products by performing daily risk management for a diverse book of top-tier clients (hedge funds, mutual funds, pension funds, banks & broker/dealers). Daily risk management includes analysis of margins, stress scenario results and exposure changes. This role will be responsible for supporting the EMEA head of risk & capital optimization along with senior risk managers in Boston. A significant degree of autonomy, including making careful decisions and coordination with other GM groups, is a requirement.
Global Markets (GM), the investment research and trading division of State Street, is responsible for delivering innovative, value-adding trading, execution and financing services to clients across a spectrum of businesses. The Global Market's Risk and Capital Optimization team primarily supports Securities Finance, Foreign Exchange Sales & Trading, and Funding and Collateral Transformation. Securities Finance (SF) encompasses three products: Agency Lending, Enhanced Custody (EC), and Alternative Financing Solutions (AFS). These products allow State Street clients to generate income, facilitate short sales, or generate financing through the lending and borrowing of securities. Foreign Exchange (FX) encompasses three products to execute your FX Transactions: Direct, Indirect, and Agency. These products allow State Street to offer principal market making and provide FX services to clients via their Direct and Indirect solutions and outsourced, agency-based FX execution. Funding and Collateral Transformation (FACT) provides global solutions supporting collateral aggregation, transformation and funding while ensuring optimal use of the balance sheet and capital.

Why you will be responsible for: As the Front Office Risk Manager you will:
Perform daily risk management for a diverse book of counterparties such as banks, broker dealers, hedge funds and pension funds
Perform the daily collateralization of a select handful of escalating any shortfalls or discrepancies to senior analysts
Monitor creditworthiness of counterparties such as hedge funds, mutual funds, pension funds, banks & broker/dealers.
Create, maintain and update risk dashboards.
Review prospective portfolios as well as existing client portfolios in "what-if" scenarios to determine the risk impact of new trade opportunities
Liaise with Triparty Agents and counterparties to implement/maintain collateral schedules
Proactively monitor the geopolitical news and market events that may affect client portfolios
Screen and approve collateral for bilateral securities on an ad-hoc basis
What we value: These skills will help you succeed in this role:
Minimum 2-3 years' experience in a relevant role, preferably Agency Lending/Prime Brokerage.
Strong communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills; with the ability to interact with multiple levels of the organization
Ability to work both independently and as a member of a team
Strong problem solving and analytical skills, experience in data mining and reporting extremely useful
Ability to multi-task and work in fast paced trading environment
