We are seeking an Assistant Vice President in our Global Procurement department to support our Supplier Diversity initiatives
Primary areas of responsibility include:
Develop, manage and monitor State Street Supplier Diversity plans and strategy.
Manage Tier 1 and Tier 2 supplier diversity reporting activities, including government reporting, State Street RFP response, customer reporting, internal stakeholder and Businesses reporting and third party industry organizational reporting requests.
Attend various internal and external Supplier Diversity outreach events, building rapport and establishing relationships with key external partners such as State and Federal Minority Business Offices, NMSDC, WBENC, USHCC, USPAACC, USBLN, NGLCC, and local national organization.
Raise awareness of State Street's Supplier Diversity program through the following activities: Outreach activities with small and diverse suppliers through participation in relevant conferences, groups and trade show.
Collaborate with internal stakeholder, including HR Diversity & Inclusion (D&I), State Street Foundation, Government Contracting, Government Affairs, Affirmative Action Program Compliance, to gain support and endorsement of State Street's diverse supplier strategy and to ensure alignment of respective strategies.
Benchmark industry best practices in supplier diversity programs and implement appropriate practices into State Street's supplier diversity strategy.
Develop and mentor diverse suppliers to ensure successful engagements and relationships
Project plan and project management skills
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written (Powerpoint, Excel, Email, etc for senior level audiences)
Excellent analytical skills with data analysis, insights, and recommendations to help drive supplier diversity goals; proficiency in excel
Supplier Diversity experience and financial services experience is a plus
