Who we are looking for The AML Compliance Officer, designated by the Global Chief AML Officer, is responsible for oversight of a business unit ("BU")'s compliance with State Street Global AML and Sanctions Policies and Procedures. The AML Compliance Officer is part of the broader Business Unit Aligned AML Officer ("BUAMLO") team and is also responsible for overseeing that the BU complies with all applicable AML laws, regulations and supervisory guidance. The BUAMLO team serves as the liaison to the BU to provide subject matter expertise, guidance, oversight and support relative to issues related to bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money laundering and OFAC/Sanctions Compliance.

What you will be responsible for As AML Compliance Officer, AVP, you will
Be the primarily point of contact for AML Program requirements for a business unit, including BU feedback on requirements and oversight of BU implementation;
Assist in coordinating interactions between the Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) and Sanctions Compliance, both for routine matters as well as escalated issues;
Support the interaction with AML Legal, AML Policy Group, AML Governance, AML Platforms Group, and AML Money Laundering Reporting Officers ("MLROs") (where warranted) for BU support of AML and Sanctions Program;
Contribute in identifying, understanding and adhering to any local laws, rules, regulations, and supervisory guidance concerning AML;
Aids in assessing the BU AML Standard Operating Procedure ("SOP") to ensure that the procedures and training are in compliance with applicable laws and regulations;
Support identifying and understanding BU processes/procedures and their relationship to the BU's AML program as well as the BU's products, services, distribution channels, customer types and geographies;
Identify AML / Sanctions training needs for the BU and work with Compliance Training to develop the materials, as warranted

Education & Preferred Qualifications
BA or BS Degree preferred
3+ years experience in regulatory oversight, anti-money laundering compliance within the financial services industries
Prior AML and Sanctions compliance and risk management experience.
Professional certification such as CAMS, RMA, CFE, CPA, CIA, etc.
Additional requirements This role may require minimal travel annually to State Street locations around the globe.
