Team & role description and purpose The Digital Client Engagement team within Global Marketing is one of the four Centres of Excellence which support the development and delivery of Global Marketing strategic priorities across the regions and channels that we operate in globally. The Digital Client Engagement team is responsible for developing world class customer digital experience across all digital channels executing high quality digital communications to reach and engage target audiences, generating awareness, deepening familiarity and generating leads. It is also responsible for designing an integrated Marketing Technology platform to enable multi-channel efficient Marketing.
The Senior Marketing Automation Consultant is responsible for the creation and delivery of Marketing Automation campaigns and execution of strategy. Reporting to the Global Senior Marketing Automation Manager, you will be responsible for specific email activity and marketing automation activity across multiple markets and delivering different strategic objectives. You will work closely with the Global Marketing team and Regional Marketing Managers to develop and deliver specific initiatives for our global business. The role demands a committed and experienced Marketing Automation specialist to form part of an innovative tea that ensures all work encapsulates our wider marketing, digital and distribution objectives.
The role-holder will look to integrate email communication and automation strategies as part of the overall Marketing mix, driving effective targeting, engagement and impact. They will work closely with Regional Marketing, Chief Operating Office, Information Technology Services (ITS) and Distribution teams across the regions, and Technology ensuring capabilities and digital marketing execution aligns to form an integrated element of prospect and client management.
Role Responsibilities Design, build and deliver advanced marketing automation programs for the business at a country and channel level
Build a deep understanding of local market requirements, objectives and goals
Design and deploy fully considered automation programs to meet marketing plan objectives
Ensure data is fully utilised – both from a CRM and insights/reporting perspective
Deliver advanced forms to meet specific requirements
Design and build innovative HTML emails and associated journeys for the business
Embed test and learn approach to support continuous improvement across all marketing automation touchpoints from A/B testing to advanced multi-variate testing
~Ensure Marketing Automation platform is implemented and configured appropriately to support delivery of automation strategy
Own IP whitelisting/reputation management
Ensure contact data is proactively maintained, using external data inputs as necessary
Assist in management of CRM integration
Build and optimise lead scoring/management models working closely across CRM and wider distribution functions Educate wider business on how to best utilise a marketing automation platform depending on their needs
Identify and prioritise training needs of wider business
Build and deliver training materials relevant to wider business function
Identify opportunities for wider business to benefit from platform usage (e.g Sales)
Drive a sales enablement program across the business globally Ensure marketing automation platform is fully considered within wider Digital Marketing strategy: Support various platform integrations; CMS platform (Sitecore), Digital Media and analytics Ensure data model inputs are built into lead management and digital personalisation criteria Offer input to continually refine UX and the marketing automation touchpoints Role Requirements: Experience of Email/Marketing Automation best practices Experience of data analysis, database optimisation, segmentation and targeting Experience of building lead generation programmes Demonstrable experience of delivering effective Marketing Automation Campaigns Advanced knowledge of email design, HTML and CSS Marketing Automation strategy creation and delivery CRM Systems integration knowledge – Salesforce preferred Digital Analytics knowledge – Google Analytics Premium preferred Investment management industry experience preferred
