Job Purpose: The business development support team manage several of the processes that provide the foundation for our new business efforts; such as RFP production, database completion, the administration for our new business sales processes and servicing of institutional consultants. This role sits within the administration and servicing team and the main aspects of this role are twofold - (i) the primary focus is to support the sustainable strategy sales efforts across all client types (DB, DC, charity and fiduciary) and sales team geographies (UK, US and Partnered areas), and (ii) secondly, ensuring an efficient and professional support service to the business development team. The role is primarily office based, with some experience of external client events and conferences. Key Responsibilities:
To assist in new business activity and targeting opportunities within the sustainable range of strategies.
Co-ordination of sustainable project work in conjunction with the project leader within the IRM team, including any required administrative oversight of the sustainable working group.
Contributing to the sustainable business plan for growing assets and maximising external strategy ratings and relationships.
Working with the Manager of the BD support team on providing assistance to the sales team on DC related matters.
Interacting with marketing to ensure consistency of message. To include input on RFPs and proactive positioning of new ideas and messaging.
Assisting on development and checking of the strategy specific RI reporting processes.
Working with Product team on new launches and any relevant changes to pooled fund structures.
To provide research on sustainable new business opportunities and create pre-notes for circulation, assisting preparation as opportunities arise.
To assist drafting sales RFP's, responses to general queries, presentations and working on standard sustainable packs.
Ad hoc research projects on market related points - e.g. DC, fees, asset trends, sustainable multi-asset solutions, competitor performance, etc.
To attend prospect/client events and assist as and when required.
Share responsibility in representing the team in shared service/key projects e.g. sustainable commercial committee, market research, fund launches/closures
