Our client is a Top Tier Chinese Commercial Bank with major business activities including Personal Banking, Wealth Management, Wholesale banking, and Global Markets and Treasury Markets. Due to consistent ongoing growth, they are now searching for an experienced candidate to join the compliance team.
The successful candidate will be heading up the AML Advisory Compliance Sub-Division in handling all financial crime risk related advisory matter. You will be the key person to ensure the bank/business is operating in line with laws and regulations.
Act as the AML Advisory Team Head to advise the department's management on compliance issue
Provide AML/Sanctions advisory support to business in the development, implementation and regular review of policies and procedures for their operations with regard to all relevant policies, guidelines, and regulatory requirements
Assist in developing, implementing and enforcing a consistent AML compliance framework including preparing, maintaining, and improving current policies, guidelines, code of conduct to the bank
As the Risk Steward and subject matter expert reviewing and challenging the efficiency and effectiveness of the mitigating controls taken by the Business
Organize training on FCC/AML matter and assist business in identifying financial crime risks and advising relevant stakeholders on the appropriate mitigating controls
Participate as the standing member in in-house financial crime related committees to review and discuss financial crime risk compliance strategy with senior management
At least 8 years relevant experience in a financial services firm, regulatory agency
Broad understanding of financial crimes risk issues in banking
Solid Knowledge of AML/Sanctions regulatory requirements and industry best practices, especially that of wholesale banking
A collaborative approach, with the ability to perform well in a high-pressure environment
Strong communication skills and experience interacting with senior stakeholders
Sound practical understanding of risk, compliance and the monitoring of controls
Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese
