Legal Entity Controller for the JPMorgan Australia subsidiary groupoversees holding company, administrative company and securities broker/dealer(Fixed Income, Equities, Financing, Clearing and Execution and CorporateAdvisory). The team assists with the preparation and delivery offinancial and management reports for the securities broker/dealer to externalregulators, Australia management and New York head office.
Your keyresponsibilities will include:
Completing month-end closing activities, including the accurate and complete close-off of books and records, investigation and clearance of equity and intercompany breaks
Preparation/review of the monthly and quarterly NY regulatory reports
Monthly tasks: Settlement of intercompany balances, general ledger reconciliation and substantiation, monthly FX trade-out process, insurance renewals
Review and preparation of financial and management reports (explaining business drivers) for the Securities entities, including reporting submissions to New York head office
Assist the Senior Financial Officer (SFO) / senior controllers in assessing new business proposals from an accounting/technical point of view to ensure compliance with A-IFRS
Involvement in regional / ad-hoc projects relating to business, reporting and system issues
To be successful you will need:
Chartered Accountant/CPA (or working to obtain qualification)
Proactive work approach to ensure timely resolution of issues and implementation of system and procedural improvements
Excellent time management and organizational abilities
Good analytical skills with an eye for detail
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Solid interpersonal skills in being able to interact with all levels of business
