A challenging and interesting role as Credit Control Officer within our Team in Investment Banking (IB) Credit Control in Zurich
You will work closely with the London-based management team and the Zurich-based Credit Officers on methodological and operational aspects related to managing credit risk within the Investment Bank
The responsibility to enforce and carry out credit policies and control frameworks as well as to conduct ad-hoc investigations of Credit Exposure figures and calculations
The opportunity to analyse and investigate the daily exception reports and to compile credit limit breaches
The ability to analyse existing and future credit risk system data feeds and also assisting in the preparation of data feed specifications and the running of user tests
The chance to collate and review reporting for the credit risk and business unit management
To be involved in regulatory projects such as the Swiss Legal Entity program for the Collaboration with our global credit management teams in Americas, EMEA, and Asia.
You will regularly be in touch with various teams from back-office and front-office departments (e.g. IT, Collateral Management, Legal) and you should be interested in learning more about credit risk management methodologies and concepts (e.g. credit ratings, exposure netting, limit setting, regional policies for credit approvals, legal documentation, etc).
A graduate degree in finance, administration, economics or in a similar discipline, or equivalent work experience
At least 2 years of financial industry experience, ideally in a Risk department role or with exposure to credit risk management (e.g. experience with credit and/or trading systems incl. INSIGHT and CARAT)
Knowledge of Investment banking core products and trade finance products would be beneficial
Keen interest to acquire in-depth understanding of credit risk management practices
Good attention to detail, have a strong appreciation of controls and be capable of applying control principles to a wide variety of situations
Positive attitude, flexibility, curiosity and interest in working in a collaborative environment with focus on improvement.
Proficient user of MS Excel and familiarity with reporting tools such as SQL
Fluent in English both verbally and in written; German skills would be of advantage.
