The Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB) Finance and Business Management (F&BM) group provides financial advice to support the CIB?s business strategy and helps to ensure a sound control environment. Within F&BM, the four major areas of responsibility are: Business-aligned BMs (Business Managers), the CIB Controller, Support Staff CFO, and Planning and Analysis.
Credit Risk Management manages client credit relationships of the Wholesale Bank. The business is responsible for the Wholesale Bank?s retained credit risk relating to non-investment grade and investment grade syndicated loans, acquisition finance, derivatives, foreign exchange and other products. With responsibility for a credit portfolio of over $400 billion, Credit Risk Management works in strong partnership with Client Coverage, Syndicated and Leveraged Finance, the derivatives/foreign exchange groups, and Treasury & Securities Services to structure and manage risk and manage client credit relationships.
We are looking to hire a dynamic, self-motivated Vice President / Senior Associate level Business Manager to support the Wholesale Credit Risk team by providing strategic support, financial insight, and decision-making guidance. Through their previous experience the individual would have gained the ability to effectively partner with and influence areas such as Product& Sales, Technology, Finance, Operations, Compliance, etc. The role will be based in Hong Kong and functionally report into Wholesale Risk Business Management in New York.
Support business head in Hong Kong to drive strategy and growth on behalf of the business
Align front office teams and support groups (Finance, Technology, Operations, Legal, HR) to business priorities
Identify and manage business risks, including the control agenda
Optimize business performance and planning, including planning and expense management, headcount planning, communication strategy, location strategy
Facilitation of people agenda including oversight of resource recruitment and contribution to training agenda and career path strategies
Project manage initiatives in support of business priorities along with driving Transformation as part of Wholesale Credit
Support regulatory requests and audit coordination as appropriate
Contribute to F&BM agenda including key projects, including strategic and control related initiatives
5-7 years of relevant experience
Business Management experience and/or knowledge of CIB businesses preferred
Familiarity with and knowledge of credit products is preferred
Strong verbal and written communications skills
Good judgment, maturity and poise to enable interaction/influencing of senior level staff
Thoughtful analytical skills; able to develop, clearly present and draw conclusions
Strong project management skills
Ability to multi-task and execute on a variety of deliverables
Energetic, self motivated and effective under pressure - must enjoy the challenge of working within a fast-paced and demanding working environment
Self-starter able to prioritize key tasks effectively
