The Product Strategy group is a small team of internal consultants tasked with identifying and building upon the most attractive product opportunities for SVB. The group reports directly to the Chief Product Officer and regularly interacts with C-Suite and senior leaders in product, technology, and sales. You will play a vital role in defining our strategy, analyzing market opportunities, and supporting new initiatives . This role is located in downtown San Francisco.
Work collaboratively across the product organization, support cross-functional project teams, and consult senior leaders on issues ranging from strategic thinking to execution
Develop financial models, perform market sizing, and c onduct rigorous, data-driven analys e s to diagnose the current state and model future outcomes
Monitor and provide insightful analysis on market dynamics, competitors, growth opportunities & threats
Recommend and develop creative innovations and strategies for optimizing existing products and financial performance - including market development, investment prioritization, and other growth strategies
Develop work plans and d rive assigned projects and initiatives
Bachelor's degree or higher
1- 3 years of experience, (preferably in management consulting, investment banking, or corporate strategy)
Excellent analytical thinking , analysis, financial modeling, and data - aggregation skills
Excellent project ownership and ability to independently drive multiple work streams
Strong relationship management
Strong critical thinking and experience with multiple business models
Ability to structure ambiguous problems, think creatively, generate and test hypotheses, and provide actionable recommendations
Ability to draw on analytical tools and techniques to develop insights
Comfort partnering with and consulting senior audiences
Willingness to challenge the status quo
Intellectual fungibility (breadth over depth)
Preference for team success over individual success
