The Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB) Finance and Business Management (F&BM) group provides financial advice to support the businesses and technology strategy and helps to ensure a sound control environment. Within F&BM, the four major areas of responsibility are: Business-aligned Business Managers, Controllers, Support Staff CFO, and Planning and Analysis.
Reporting to the Asia CIB Technology and Regional CIO F&BM Lead, the candidate will provide Workforce and Location Strategy Business Management coverage for CIB Technology within APAC based in Hong Kong.
The right candidate is: well organized, articulate, ambitious, proactive, comfortable with detail, execution focused, wants to develop as a leader and is able to foster strong working relationships with LOB teams, F&BM colleagues, HR as well as other regional and global leadership.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
? Work with the regional Technology Leads and partner closely with stakeholders across other Line of Business (LOBs) and HR to: o Help drive cohesion of CIB Technology Management by organizing the agenda for CIB Technology meeting o Ensure data generated by partner groups is used appropriately by regional leads to set strategy, direction and planning - aligning to the global strategy including but not limited to Technology Transformation Pillars o Alignment of business strategy to regional CIB Technology strategy ensuring there is clear plan and accountability for execution ? Staff Engagement & People Agenda: o Help create and execute upon an engagement plan that can reach CIB Technology staff of all levels and experience o Manage CIB Technology regional newsletter content and delivery to 800+ employee?s o Help organize events that engage staff on technical, philanthropic, cultural, personal and leadership development levels o Coordinate the demand, pipeline and onboarding of the Software Engineering Program across the region o Collaborate with Learning & Development, Recruitment and Human Resources teams to help drive these initiatives and diversity within CIB Technology o Coordinate management offsite, senior management visits and other ad-hoc events
? Location Strategy: o Ownership of accurate headcount projections per location via the quarterly Headcount Location Planning submission coordinating across the F&BM teams in region o Drive consistency and institutionalize processes around collection and reporting of location strategy data including staff and location
? Stakeholder Management: o Lead point of contact for Technology stakeholders and front office Business Managers for workforce and location strategy related responsibilities in the region o Strong collaboration with the Global F&BM teams to ensure good communication, effective issue resolution and global requirements are implemented regionally o Partner with other Enterprise Technology teams to ensure consistent and holistic deliverables and remove duplicity where possible
? At least 6 years of related experience (Finance, Business Management, Corporate Location strategy) ? Strong collaborator with ability to foster relationships effectively with diverse groups across geographies ? Excellent reporting and communication skills and ability to present to Senior Management ? Confident and organized with strong reasoning and influencing skills ? Self-starter with initiative, accountability, and ability to work independently as well as collaborate within a team ? Adaptable and able to multi-task ? Proficiency in the MS-suite
