We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Executive Manager, Operational Risk Ecosystem to join IAG's Operation Risk & Assurance team on a permanent full-time basis. This senior leadership role will support the successful achievement of IAG's strategic objectives through the effective management of operational risk within approved Risk Appetite. The u nique contribution of the role is to provide Group-wide leadership to optimise the operational risk management ecosystem, both in design and implementation across IAG. This includes delivering effective and value creating framework/ policies/ standards/ procedures, systems architecture, capability and training, governance, insights and analytics.
Critical to your success will be your ability to lead and manage change by working collaboratively with other business units to achieve division and business unit goals. You will have highly developed communication skills and influence outcomes across a diverse business operational and regulatory landscape.
Lead the governance of operational risk for IAG, including the provision of regular reporting, trends and insights to the Board Risk Committee, Group Leadership Team Risk Committee, and senior management
Lead a team of highly-skilled risk professionals to continuously enhance the proactive management of operational risks by the business, and promoting a sound risk culture
Develop the Operational Risk strategy and lead changes to the Group Operational Risk Framework, Policies, Standards and Procedures, optimising both design and implementation across IAG, to achieve leading practice
Lead the oversight and monitoring of operational risk across IAG including operational risk attestations for APRA Prudential Standard CPS 220 Risk Management for IAG
Provide thought leadership, advice and support to senior management, 1 st and 2 nd Line teams to ensure the effective use and embedment across the business
Lead the system architecture and design to support the effective management of operational risk by the business
Ongoing uplift of operational risk capability through training and awareness, including development, design and delivery of training content
Continually scan the market for emerging risks, new and improved approaches to management of operational risk
Build and develop networks across IAG to support effective engagement and operational risk management including with 1 st and 2 nd Line teams
Skills & Experience
Financial services experience with advanced Operational Risk management experience at a senior level, with a sound understanding of operational risk linkage to strategy and financial performance
Demonstrated people leadership and talent development experience in complex environments
Experience with Business Resilience, Crisis Management, Technology and Fraud risk management
Demonstrated understanding and experience with industry Regulators
Effective participation and collaboration in a senior team environment to manage change and drive IAG's strategy
Experience using and Human Centred design and Agile methodologies
Proven capacity to develop risk strategies combined with practical and action-orientated application
Highly developed communication skills with the ability to build and maintain internal and external relationships
Experience working collaboratively with other business units to achieve division and business unit goals and manage change
Strategic mindset and comfortable to work with ambiguity
Highly organised, with high attention to detail and forward planning
Tertiary qualifications required to perform the role at a fully competent level
