Perform Impact Assessments
Liaise with stakeholders from Advisory Compliance, Central Compliance, Front Line Units and Testing teams as required to understand how major compliance requirements impact specific business lines and determine which controls are currently in place.
Lead the control documentation and control input activities in SHRP to facilitate new and existing business activities.
Support the delivery of data quality initiatives and projects aimed at enhancing the representation of the control environment in SHRP.
Provide support for SHRP users and management working groups.
Provide support for issue management, particularly in the drafting of necessary documentation.
Maintain good audit discipline to include regularly updating procedures, appropriate storage of documentation and supporting with requests relating to Issue Management, Testing and Validation.
Able to respond to queries from management, to include assisting with requests from International Compliance.
Support with other cross-team tasks as directed.
Market Skills and Certifications
Legal/Regulatory Development - Educated to degree level ideally with legal or strong Regulatory Advisory or Regulatory Consulting background gained at a top tier wholesale bank or major consultancy firm.
Regulatory knowledge – Knowledge of UK / EMEA regulatory environment, and how these requirements apply to wholesale banking and/or asset management Lines of Business as well as associated products/services.
Project Management- strong project management skills, strong stakeholder management skills and ability to think strategically, act swiftly and deliver results are essential.
Analytical skills – the candidate must have expert analytical skills with experience in researching, collecting, analysing, and synthesising information on various subjects.
Communication - excellent interpersonal, communication (written and presentation) skills and organisational abilities are essential, with an ability to liaise professionally and with diplomacy across all levels of staff in clear and succinct manner.
Drive – a self-starter who is proactive and with a demonstrated ability to drive through regulatory change.
Flexibility / Initiative – ability to manage multiple requests for information and handle confidential and sensitive information in a professional manner in a fast paced deadline driven environment.
Problem solving skills – demonstrated ability to identify key issues, and obtain appropriate information for further analysis.
IT literate - including Microsoft Project, Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint and other reporting tools but also able to understand use of technology for improving the regulatory control environment.
A team player that actively looks to partner with and support team members with workloads and challenges.
