Lead the development and execution of new product and investment initiatives in the real estate asset classes, with a particular focus on US real estate (RE).
Lead the sourcing initiatives and provide in-depth analysis and recommendations to the Investment Committee
Monitor existing and potential investment opportunities in alignment with the Product Development Committee.
Continuous monitoring and review of the investments' performance and that of the underlying investment managers to ensure contractual, compliance, fiduciary and investment responsibilities are being met with regular reporting back to the Product Development Committee.
Manage all relationships, communications and activities with assigned fund managers and enhance communications with other Divisions and Departments to ensure efficient progress in product development is achieved
Interact and develop relationships with business partners across the delivery channels to identify new investment needs for each client segment.
Gather detailed internal and external feedback on investment opportunities and implement necessary actions to ensure alignment with investor's needs.
Implement and execute new investment opportunities.
Ensure suitable financial models of the targeted investments are in place and manage the final deliverables of the analysis and reports.
Present and explain new products to wealth managers/distribution channels and participate in client meetings.
Lead the negotiations of the payment terms with investors and related parties, and ensure that they support the investment strategy.
Facilitate the Know your client (KYC) process and documentations to ensure smooth implementation.
In conjunction with Legal and Compliance, review, develop, scrutinize all products legal documents and suggest improvements, in order to ensure full compliance with local and offshore jurisdictions and avoid associated risks.
Obtain proper approvals of assigned products/funds, including Product Development Committee, Regulator, Compliance, Shariah Board, Risk, and Legal.
Actively participate in road shows, workshops, conferences etc. to increase knowledge of the marketplace and to grow external network.
Undertake ad hoc tasks related to the role as directed by line manager.
Experience and Skills
Over 10 years' experience in alternative investments and/or an investment banking advisory with a focus on US real estate
Strong financial modeling skills.
An in-depth knowledge of the private equity/alternative assets products and services and a strong deal sheet of US real estate transactions across the capital stack.
Ability to work under pressure and with strict deadlines.
Excellent computer and project management skills.
Initiative, creativity, and independent thinking.
Possess excellent communications skills
Energetic and results orientated.
Outstanding mathematical and analytical skills.
A tertiary level qualification from an internationally recognized institution preferably with an MBA.
A professional qualification is a plus (i.e. CFA).
Fluency in written and spoken English.

Communications / Interfaces with Other Divisions & 3rd Parties
Frequent and ongoing internal communications with line manager, colleagues, management peers within the Business Development Division and with central Operations, Legal and Compliance, AM, IT and Administration Support staff.
Ongoing external communications with other banks and financial institutions, external consultants, legal and compliance advisors.
