The Role Responsibilities & Our Ideal Candidate
Business Banking Process and Procedures
Self-review / revisit BOM/DOI/procedure with emphasis on risk and controls (decision control points, process failure points, escalation triggers) to ensure they are fit for the purpose
Provide directive/guidance on branch and business banking operations/compliance issues/procedures
To reduce uncertainty and frontlines' misunderstanding in the BOM/ DOI/ procedures
Interpret the approved operating instructions/ procedures for staff to follow, and ensure the stakeholder have a good understanding on their duties and responsibilities and the need to seek clarification or escalate issues in timely manner
Conduct walkthrough with relevant stakeholders for major procedures change/new procedures to facilitate and fasten the review and approval process; and facilitate briefing/training to frontline in highlighting the key changes during the walkthrough.
Standardise process management across RB and execute DOI rationalization
Assist and drive the implementation of all risk and compliance related policies and procedures (Local and Group) within the Business
Proactively identify the top operational risks with the Business Unit and ensure mitigation action is being formulated
Enhance risk management capabilities and streamline processes
Improve overall control environment and create more oversight from head office on branch and business banking operations
Conduct gap analysis for new/revised Group/regulatory and GRU requirements against current handling procedures. For identified gaps, clarify the requirements with GRU and either raise dispensation or make necessary amendment to relevant procedures
Work closely with branches and business banking centre to enhance Customer Experience, to solve customer complaints, and to support the launch of SCB way
Deliver projects on a need basis
Maximize team synergy in daily operation and explore business opportunities through team work with colleagues from other Value streams
Assist Manager, Branch and Business Banking Operations to maximize efficiency and productivity through channel leveraging.
