While data has been integral to SVB's growth over the past 30+ years, we're placing an even greater emphasis on being a data-driven organization by establishing the Analytics & Sales Operations team to support all sales focused aspects of our banking practices.
SVB is looking for a fast learning, energetic and passionate Sales Operations Analyst II interested in making an immediate impact in the Life Science & Healthcare VC ecosystem. This position offers the opportunity to uncover market potential, develop actionable insights, and improve processes (and even develop new ones). This person will work closely with sales leaders to execute and measure on their yearly initiatives to help grow the business. This is a multi-faceted role where you will work cross-functionally with our sales, finance, and marketing team. We are seeking people with a passion for helping others and who are eager to take on numerous projects within a dynamic and ever-evolving industry. This position is based in our San Francisco location.
Proven comprehensive sales operational support, including but not limited to lead generation, opportunity and performance management, and report creation
Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation, process redesign, or development of new ones; evaluate performance indicators (at various levels) and provide recommendations and solutions to business challenges
Work cross-functionally with other business units to ensure changes to CRM and other sales systems are consistent with business needs
Develop best practices that align sales data quality with company initiatives
Leverage proprietary datasets and external company data to extract valuable insights and present these findings to key stakeholders
Creating high-quality reports for internal consumption that combines market observations from sales teams along with data insights
Support senior executives in tracking team performance and analyzing key metrics related to client acquisition pipeline, loan portfolio, funding, product penetration, referral channels, etc.
Researching and profiling targeted prospects, reporting and analyzing portfolios, identifying and aggregating current SVBFG relationships, and identifying potential cross-selling opportunities for prospects.
Minimum 2-5 years of sales, sales operations, and/or analytics experience
Bachelor's degree required
Ability to work cross-functionally and move fast while juggle multiple projects - all while keeping very close attention to detail
Strong understanding of life science, startup, and venture capital ecosystems
Effective oral and written communication
Strong initiative, intellectual curiosity, and ownership
Ability to complete tasks independently or in small teams with minimal oversight
Fluency with database tools (Tableau) while programming languages (R, SQL, VBA) are nice to have
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with strong Excel skills
