The trainee's primary function will be to support the senior staff on the DCM/Syndicate desk from all aspects of a transaction, including from origination to execution
Coverage scope: Bond issuers in the country, ranging from banks, agencies and corporates
Market analysis support: Analyze the European / US market for Japanese issuers from a fixed income markets perspective (including creation of pitch books)
Marketing support & Communication with the SG Global Network: engage in daily communication with internal stakeholders in the domestic, regional and global network to facilitate business activities. This includes but is not restricted to communication with members of the DCM and Bond Syndicate departments located in Paris, London, Hong Kong, Singapore and the US
Execution support on bond syndication deals, including bookings, communication with internal sales and other daily works on syndication.
Role must be performed in accordance with the compliance rules inherent to the business. It must be done in compliance with internal procedures and external regulatory rules (including owning JSDA license in Japan)
PC skill requirements:
Knowledge on excel, word and Power point is mandatory.
Having excellent skills on excel and power point will be an added advantage.
Language requirements: English: Business level in speaking, writing, reading (mandatory) Japanese: Native level in speaking, writing, reading (mandatory)
Good communication and Interpersonal Skills
