An excellent opportunity for an experienced Analyst or Associate level investment professional to join the Private Equity team of this multi-strategy investment firm. Privately owned and with a global portfolio, the company invest in private and public markets as well as real estate and other funds. The private equity team primarily focus on minority investments in consumer markets.
This role is within the Private Equity team and will play a key role in the research and analysis of new direct investment opportunities as well as oversight and monitoring of existing investments. The company are flexible and opportunistic and have a focus on the consumer markets for direct investments.
Oversight and monitoring of existing investments and portfolios, including building relationships with, and analysis of, external funds and companies
Research of new fund and direct investment opportunities
Broader industry, regional and thematic research, developing an understanding of relevant trends and risks to help direct investment activity
Contributing to due diligence of live investment activities and to investment committee papers
Assist and/or lead development of financial models across existing and prospective investments
Maintain and improve internal analysis, reporting and controls around existing investments and portfolios
Possible ad hoc analysis across other asset categories
Building relationships with key stakeholders across the organisation
At least 2 years' experience with 1 or more of that spent in an actual Private Equity firm
Advanced in MS Excel, including demonstrable experience of building and adapting detailed financial models
Awareness of, and interest in, broader financial and investment markets
Organised individual with strong attention-to-detail, a critical mindset and the ability to multi-task and prioritise issues as they arise
