The successful candidate will be part of the Portfolio Management team working closely with more senior portfolio managers directly affecting the allocations of portfolios.
The successful candidate will become familiar with our 4 pillar Multi-Asset Investment Process gaining knowledge about our goals, the strategies we implement to that aim, the risk budgeting tools we use for position sizing and risk allocation, the implementation process and how we represent the full process to sales representative and external investors.
The familiarity with our investment process will allow to successfully grow in the role to gain independence in proposing new investment ideas and understand what the best way is of implementing them in a well diversified portfolio.
A very good understanding of investment products, asset allocation and instruments used to align portfolios is essential. Knowledge about the most used analytics is needed and knowledge about usage of OTC derivatives is a plus.
A minimum experience of 3 to 5 years' experience in a similar role is required.
CFA or other certifications are a plus.
Day to day activities include investment case discussion, implementation of specific investment strategies, data gathering to finalize internal or external reporting, data validation for portfolio management duties.
The successful candidate will progress and gain more and more autonomy in performing tasks and will suggest and implement portfolio changes and rebalancing as well. The PM will gradually manage independently small accounts with the goal of out-performing specific benchmark or maximizing the probability of achieving a predefined outcome.
Active contribution to the activities of establishing investment strategies, selecting appropriate investment ideas and allocating each appropriately within identified risk budget
Contribute to the constant improvement & rigorous application of shared investment process (4 pillar investment process, risk allocation, Risk Budgeting & portfolio construction)
Be familiar with asset class expected behaviour and cross asset interactions within a typical multi-asset portfolio
Be knowledgeable of available internal and external research
Contribute to idea generation and sharing within the wider multi-asset platform by supporting investment analysis and proactively contributing to cross fertilization of ideas
Monitor that results and positions are consistent across products and strategies
In addition, the PM is responsible, under supervision, for rebalancing model portfolios in bulk in coherence with our 4 pillar investment process and product guidelines. Responsibility will also extend to maintenance of target allocations.
