Overview of Role Rothschild & Co is looking for a junior accounting staff member who will work closely with all members of Rothschild's finance team. The ideal candidate is able to effectively handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a deadline driven environment as well as contribute to department and organizational special projects.
Global Advisory reimbursable expense management and analysis
Ownership of the month-end process and reporting for our collateralized loan obligation management business
Compensation accrual journal entries
Journal entries for allocation of costs to clients and internal businesses
Market data spend & analysis
Managing fixed asset depreciation and monthly lease journals
Balance sheet account reconciliations
Preparation of financial data/spreadsheets for senior members of finance team
Billing expenses for affiliates
Education and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in accounting (minimum GPA of 3.3)
Experience, Skills and Competencies Required
Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
Prior experience in accounting or related function is a plus, but not required
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (formulas, shortcuts, data management)
