The Markets Division is responsible for operating the Hong Kong cash and derivatives markets, as well as developing new products and engaging with clients. The Markets Chief Operating Officerâ€™s team within Markets Management work closely with the Head of Markets to oversee the delivery of the Divisionâ€™s strategic initiatives, business planning, business unit management, and staff and external engagement. The successful applicant will work in Markets Management within the Markets Division, reporting to the Markets COO, and supporting various functions and initiatives
Assist the Markets Chief Operating Officer to oversee and deliver on strategic initiatives
Monitor committee approval processes and review committee submissions
Drive the Divisionâ€™s operational enhancements
Liaise with teams in Markets and other Divisions to implement new initiatives
Oversee business unit management, including financial & resource planning, reviewing policies & meeting materials, executing business contingency plans
Coordinate employee engagement events
Manage communication with internal and external stakeholders
University Degree, preferably in Business Administration, Finance or related subjects
At least 6 years' relevant experience, of which at least 2 years at supervisory level in well-established financial organizations
Proven track record in managing the development and implementation of strategic projects and initiatives
Good understanding of market environment and practices, operation flow, regulatory requirements, financial products and technologies, in both the cash and derivatives markets
Highly motivated with the ability to multi-task and work under tight deadlines
Strong problem solving skills
Attention to detail
A good team player with strong interpersonal skills
Excellent written and spoken English and Chinese; proficiency in Mandarin is a plus
