We seek an enthusiastic Service Engineer to support and deploy all software utilising Winton's technology stack, with a focus on market data, front office, and middle office operations systems. As a member of the Service Engineering team, you will manage and resolve business critical incidents and develop new monitoring and alerting capabilities alongside the integration of new software and infrastructure.
The successful candidate will be a motivated team player who can help maintain Winton's technical operational excellence.
Develop and maintain a deep understanding of Winton's technology stack
Prioritise, investigate and resolve incidents in accordance with business SLAs
Coordinate and deploy software releases
Develop and maintain relationships across all business areas
Proactively improve our monitoring and alerting abilities
Participation in on-call rota
Excellent analytical and communication skills
Proficiency in SQL, Python, and Git
Experience managing a production environment
Knowledge of monitoring and alerting systems
Experience working in both Windows Server and UNIX systems
Familiarity with modern deployment tools in a cloud-based infrastructure (e.g. AWS/Kubernetes/Azure)
Knowledge of data transformation workflows and orchestration tools (e.g. Apache Airflow)
