We are seeking to identify a qualified candidate for the "Legal Analyst - Data Gathering" position within the GCO Litigation Team. The Data Gathering role is a part of the GCO Team in India; and, it provides support to our GCO Litigation Team in the US as well as the Profit & Loss (P&L) Team.
Support Litigation Case Managers and P&L team members by collecting relevant client and advisor data and conducting quality control reviews to ensure accuracy, completeness and responsiveness. Coordinate simultaneously with multiple business areas to fulfill ad hoc data pull requests. Ability to think through avenues to bring in process efficiencies via automation and outside of GCO connects in the data gathering work area. Showcase flexibility on the TAT, basis the urgency of the data pull request. Manage and maintain AME (Arbitrator, Mediator & Expert Witness) database and pull arbitrator award data from FINRA website on need basis. Provide (not mandatory) creative assistance in developing GCO wide reports, decks, and dashboards, on mediums like Tableau, Power BI, MS office tools and the like. Contribute towards time-sensitive projects, including redactions, bates numbering and document review for the RAU and litigation attorneys and paralegals.
Graduate/Post Graduate with 1 - 2 years of experience in data gathering or similar profile Independent problem-solving ability and experience in handling multiple requests/projects and meeting deadlines Must have knowledge of MS Excel, Word and Access Ability to prioritize requests and meet multiple competing deadlines Working understanding of basic legal terms and documents Working knowledge of tools such as Thomson One, client databases, and product databases Must be thorough, detail-oriented, and have common sense, good communication and interpersonal skills
