This requires an individual who has proven professional skills and a strong business analysis background. It is essential the Chief Operating Officer is an effective communicator, with the ability to multi-task, prioritize and escalate issues as required. The position involves close relationships with multiple internal departments and the front office sales people. The role requires cross functional coordination of the tracking, management and reporting of client, sales and operational initiatives.
Responsible for following the progress of KYC Reviews and Credit Line Renewals and act as a point of contact within the Business Line.
Work to improve efficiencies and decrease bottle necks in the renewal process.
Oversee and manage on a daily basis the timely renewal of credit lines;
Monitor the actual renewal of the lines by RISQ & CORI according to the expiration dates and raise alerts to MARK and BMO management in case of backlog;
As part of this oversight, the BOC will need to liaise with Sales, Relationship Managers and Account Executives, as these individuals are ultimately accountable for their clients' proper documentation to be able to trade;
Act as a point of contact in the BL for KYC renewals, including requests by the KYC teams to receive specific information;
Organize, communicate, and work with the BMO team to implement first-level control over KYC reviews and data quality control for front office client outreach;
Monitor the actual renewal of the KYC files and raise alerts in case of delays;
Responsible for monitoring the systems performance and raise alerts in case of issues;
Skills and Experience Needed:
-0-3 years of experience in the listed derivatives, equities and/ or OTC Industry
- Bachelor degree in business related field
-Strong system skills and highly numerate. Logical, structured, organized and disciplined approach.
-Background in finance, project management, and/or risk preferred.
-Project Management experience desired
-Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
-Strong written / oral communication skills at all levels of Management within and outside of the department and organization
-Ability to meet strict deadlines. Ability to multitask and prioritize. Willingness and drive to move initiatives to completion.
-Candidate to acquire a basic understanding of the regulatory framework in the US and globally. -Candidate needs to build a good working relationship with compliance and other control functions
