Blackstone's Legal Department seeks an analyst for its Chief Legal Office. The role will report to a Senior Vice President in the Chief Legal Office.
Responsibilities: The successful candidate will work on a variety of matters, with a focus on Blackstone litigation as well as ad hoc projects. This position will require interaction with individuals of all levels in Blackstone's business and corporate groups and other members of the firm's Legal and Compliance group, outside counsel and vendors. Areas of responsibility are expected to include:
Litigation matter management, e.g.
Tracking status of matters and metrics
Maintaining case files
Creating and maintaining relevant databases
Legal hold and discovery management, e.g.
Participating in custodian interviews
Overseeing document collection/review
Assisting attorneys in drafting letters and responses to document requests
Creating presentations for internal and external stakeholders
Assisting with intellectual property registrations and enforcement matters
Performing general/docket research and fact-finding
Qualifications: Blackstone seeks to hire individuals who are highly motivated, proactive, intelligent, and have demonstrated excellence in prior endeavors.
2-3 years of Paralegal (or comparable role) experience in the litigation department of a top law firm or in-house litigation department required
Strong and unwavering attention to detail
Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
Systematic and highly organized
Professional maturity and judgment
Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with team members across a spectrum of seniority levels and roles within the firm
Experience with e-discovery
