The Corporate Affairs & Communications team is responsible for managing corporate affairs, branding and reputation, and all internal and external communications. It is GIC's interface with key stakeholders, including the general public, media and employees.
We are looking for a suitable candidate to join our Communications team as AVP, Events (contract). The successful candidate will work alongside the team to provide leadership and execution of GIC events and to support the GIC brand. This is a contract role for one year, with the possibility of extending the terms subject to an annual review.
Co-create, design and oversee the running of thought leadership events.
Manage multiple events through the year
Negotiate and manage external vendors and audit all collaterals produced by them
Operate a budget prudently
Engage and co-ordinate with external participants and internal staff on the event format, execution and logistics
Work closely with the communications team on the event related outputs required for internal and external communications
At least 8 years of experience, including with a large multi-national company and experience with managing large-scale industry and public events
Familiarity with the design and content curation for senior-level industry forums
Mature, driven and resourceful in delivering polished and innovative solutions
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively across a multitude of stakeholders
