The VP / Director will work directly with the principals of the firm, be able to fit into a small and dynamic team environment and will be expected to hit the ground running, with an ability to lead and drive transactions forward.
Manage all aspects of the entire execution process of deals on a hands-on basis (including managing the clients) across product areas but will primarily be focused on debt arranging transactions (loans and capital markets (CMBS)).
This will include all aspects of deal execution including KYC, NDAs, engagement letters, marketing materials, lender feedback, term sheet negotiation, due diligence reports, real estate finance documentation, credit approval process funds flow statement, completion statement – working effectively with 3rd parties such as due diligence and legal firms where required
Manage deal teams, providing guidance to all team members involved in the transaction including managing junior resources effectively
Build a strong relationship with clients and debt providers
Direct origination/business development initiatives
Experience / Background:
Minimum of 8+ years relevant real estate investment banking experience
Excellent knowledge of CRE debt markets, structured debt transactions and the fundamentals of real estate lending
Excellent knowledge of the entire transaction execution process in real estate finance (including due diligence)
Familiarity with real estate finance documentation (termsheets, loan facilities etc)
Ability to create and understand excel financial models for real estate debt transactions
Experience in multiple European jurisdictions would be beneficial
Good commercial awareness with excellent negotiation, communication and project management skills
Ability to handle complex negotiations
Ability to read, interpret and negotiate legal documents
Solid academic credentials in a Business, Finance or related discipline, preferably post graduate
Additional European language (advantageous not essential)
