This program is aimed to help participants renew their:

Education through specific skill-based training, modelling, and financial analysis
Candidates should have significant experience conducting research and due diligence, building financial models, and assessing / synthesizing industry and financial data.
Whether this pilot returnship leads to a full-time career, or serves to sharpen the skills necessary to take the next step, it will be a valuable experience for participants to build their career portfolio.

The Fundamental Active Equity (FAE) division manages a full range of equity strategies that span the risk/return spectrum, along with several targeted opportunities in specific market sectors. More than 40 investment teams—consisting of portfolio managers, research analysts and traders—manage style-specific portfolios built on BlackRock company research in each major equity asset class.The US Income & Value team is responsible for over US $60 billion across various strategies: Core, Basic Value, Equity Dividend, and Mid-Cap Equity Dividend. The Fundamental Large Cap Growth team is responsible for over US $20 billion across both mi-cap and large-cap strategies.
Conduct company research – including financial analysis, due diligence on industry trends, company management and strategies
Meet with management teams to build stronger understanding of underlying industry, competitive dynamics, business drivers, and strategic direction
Make stock specific recommendations to portfolio managers
Build and update financial and valuation models
Synthesize and assess financial, industry data
Conduct primary research through industry sources
Draft reports/notes on new and existing position
Attend industry conferences
Communicate with investment professionals throughout the firm
VP-equivalent or higher prior to work break; or 7+ years relevant experience
2+ year voluntary career break
Outstanding analytical and organizational skills
Strong research skills with particular strength in financial analysis/modeling
Broad understanding of business models, industry dynamics, and competitive analysis
Ability to synthesize and communicate large amounts of information in succinct manner
Excellent oral and written communication skills
