Position Description Work in a Fund Accounting Business Project team focused on Transformation using the latest Beacon technology, Process excellence Program, Operating Model and Strategic initiatives, Global / India specific. The team operates in a high visibility role, and is a great opportunity to develop a broad understanding of the business, and to collaborate with colleagues from across Accounting. Whilst predominantly your focus will be on Transformation Execution, from time to time you will have the chance to be involved in other projects e.g. the Target Operating Model, Tool and new technology implementation, Footprint Strategy and PEP that the Transformation Team may be involved in and responsible for.
Demonstrate the creativity needed to improve the fund accounting operating model using Beacon technology
Track the development of new technology, closing out gaps between legacy applications and Beacon services
Learn new tools as and when required
Test, or direct the testing of, new Beacon services to ensure no defects relative to legacy processes
Lead workshops and calls driving closure of actions, milestones and recording and escalation of key risks and dependencies
Engage in non-country specific brainstorming sessions to help mold the future operating model for Fund Accounting in GIC- Accounting
Carrying out and administering tasks as they relate to the day-to-day activities for the Execution of Transformation from the submission process, consolidation, validation, re-forecasting, risk escalation to reporting.
Providing support and cross team coverage as required in managing relationships virtually with Key Stakeholders and with PMOs for particular Products and Processes to ensure alignment, quality of input/output, risk management and customer satisfaction
Required Qualifications / Experience:
Experience of Fund Accounting NAV Production is preferred with a minimum of 2 to 3 years operational experience. MCH system knowledge is an advantage
Existing knowledge of core Beacon applications like MyNAV, eHzn TB, MyView is preferred
Project Management exposure, worked on strategic or tactical initiatives driving process changes
Required skill set:
Strong Time Management and organizational skills
Highly motivated and possess creative Thinking
Strong MS Office skills, with expert capability in Excel and PowerPoint, including experience in developing high impact executive presentations
Knowledge on Tableau software and other reporting tools is an advantage
Analytical Thinking: Review data submitted and assess what they represent to identify risks and present findings upwards within the management chain.
Good organizational skills to ensure adherence to submission deadlines, production of reports ensuring precise attention to detail
Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact well with senior executives and their support teams
Communication Skills: Be able to respectfully challenge as required, articulate issues and predict how outcomes may be impactful. You will need to write and speak clearly to convey implications of submissions. An energetic and positive work style with the ability to manage in a fast paced environment
