The Role Responsibilities
Support the Senior Investigations Manager, Taiwan, to coordinate identification of themes, trends and lessons learnt from investigations in Taiwan to support the continuous improvement of the Bank's conduct and control environment.
Conduct and manage non-government investigations against the Bank and/or with employees that have potential material impact on the Bank from either a reputational, regulatory, financial or litigation perspective (or any combination of the same).
Conduct investigations in line with the Group standards for investigations in the country / region including escalation, case management, data capture, evidence management, electronic evidence review, reporting and interviewing.
Proactively identify and investigate employee and customer fraud in a systematic way.
As required, investigate data leakage cases escalated for Taiwan and assist in promoting awareness of the importance of confidentiality of bank information. Support management and promote Speaking Up in country with assistance from Regional investigative team.
Adopt a flexible approach in supporting other areas within the Group Investigations structure (and in seeking inbound support when necessary) to promote effective and efficient allocation of investigative resources.

Relationship Management with law enforcement. Coordination with business to provide a response to local production orders, court orders, request for information from regulators or law enforcement agencies.

Our Ideal Candidate
4+ years investigative experience.
Excellent communication skills.
Degree in law, accounting or similar.
Previous regulatory experience or financial services industry and financial crime management experience.
Native speaker fluency in Taiwanese.
Business proficient English language speaking and writing skills.
Good knowledge of banking systems.
Knowledge of information sources and evidence handling specifically with reference to electronic evidence.
Excellent judgement. Excellent collaborative and team playing skills. Diplomacy, empathy and a 'can-do attitude'. Politeness, sensitivity and the ability to gently, but professionally stand your ground when needed.
An inquisitive approach to practices, procedures and specific transactions. Personal authority and integrity. Independence, creativity, resourcefulness and resilience.
Must possess ability to assess risk, strong leadership qualities, excellent interpersonal skills and multi cultural awareness and sensitivity.
CFE or like accreditation, to include formal law enforcement training.
Understanding of the key features of relevant financial crime and investigative related laws and regulations that affect the Group.
