The Advice Distribution National Office is responsible for designing and operationalizing sales and service excellence in support of business objectives. Working to improve the performance and productivity of the distribution team, the National Office focuses on:
Business planning and execution
Developing, delivering and improving sales operations and service models
Driving end to end business process improvements
Owning the overall employee experience strategies
The Senior Manager, Sales Training will be responsible for the following:
Own the vision and development of a robust TDAM training program and sustainment for the Advice Distribution teams (Financial Planning, Private Investment Counsel, Broker-Dealer Channel, Client Services team)
Act as a subject matter expert, key business partner to help build and/or deliver training to TD Canada Trust
Create training programs that have the following: onboarding of new employees, training around managing a sales territory (business plans, rotation within territory, business skills), training on product and industry knowledge, training on selling skills.
Build training programs for all members of the advice distribution team \u2013 sales managers, sales coordinators, inside sales, external wholesalers, Financial Planning Senior Sales Managers, relationship managers within PIC, and client service representatives
Source and negotiate agreements with vendors to support the TDAM training program
Implement programs across all channels within Advice
Design and deliver impactful learning events, driving engagement and adoption of best practices
Facilitate part of the training program
Own the execution of all training and onboarding programs into the field
Have a good understanding of other training programs in the fund industry
Proven experience building and executing successful training programs for sales teams in Wealth Management, Mutual Funds, or Asset Management
Deep understanding and experience in adult learning \u2013 10 or more years of experience
Proven experience improving employee experience through innovative and comprehensive onboarding programs
History of making a positive impact, developing and executing on strategies, and delivering superior results in both the short and long term
Superior impact and influencing skills
Skillful negotiation and partnership skills to balance input from stakeholders or other business units but remain objective to reach the right outcome
High level of organizational awareness and demonstrated relationship building skills
Deep knowledge of the Mutual Fund, Wealth Management, or Asset Management industries
Proven ability to work independently in articulating strategies
