BT is the wealth management arm of the Westpac Group. BT designs, manufactures and administers financial products that enable customers to achieve their financial goals through the accumulation, management and protection of personal wealth. Distribution of BT's products is conducted through Westpac/BT's Australian and New Zealand consumer distribution businesses and an extensive network of external financial advisers.
Program Delivery is a team of ~100 project professionals who support large and major projects within the Superannuation business unit for BTFG. The team deliver regulatory/compliance programs for example Federal Budget changes, and strategic initiatives including the new BT Super product.
The Business Analyst role will be within the Legislative Program, supporting projects to ensure compliance obligations are delivered across BTFG's Superannuation products. This may involve supporting requirement collection, requirement review, process impact assessments and implementation support.
The role reports into the Project Manager within Superannuation, Program Delivery. This role frequently works with subject matter experts across the business for developing, creating and implementation of all project deliverables, and in conjunction with other analyst, change and project managers for coordination and delivery of content across multiple Superannuation projects.
Major responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
Lead the requirements exercise and design of new or re-engineered business processes to meet the needs of the organisation through effective engagement of business partners, stakeholders and team
Ensure that recommended solution is delivered against the value proposition e.g. use of subjective and objective data that is factual and performance based
Collaborate with business partners, technology groups, suppliers and customer groups to elicit, analysis, validate and communicate business requirements and design
Effectively manage and develop detailed Business Process, Data and System Functional/Non Functional specifications that will drive the desired outcome of business process improvement and system enhancement/ development activities
Utilise and adhere to the Group's methodologies, tools and standards.
To be Successful
Solid experience in Superannuation
2 years business analyst experience
Customer centricity and RG 146 / Financial Planning Diploma (desirable)
Excellent analytical skills for both business and technology solutions to enable the development of business process and/or technical solutions, including documentation of business problems in a clear concise manner
High attention to detail and accuracy, continuous improvement orientation
Business process mapping, re-engineering and service orientation, including system functional / non-functional analysis and business case or feasibility study preparation
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced dynamic environment and under pressure
Exceptional time management and organisational skills
Provide direction to other business analysts/project resources within the team
Coordinate, facilitation and execute workshops with stakeholders and senior management
Able to get "hands-on" and make things work with stakeholders
Plan test strategies/cases and assist business users with developing UAT test skills
