The role holder is accountable for ensuring adequate resources (quantity and quality) are available to meet pre- determined business Service Level Agreements (SLA's) and ultimately satisfy stakeholders. The Team Leader will manage control assurance checks, handle escalations/errors and in addition may manage selected projects.
To process day-to-day BAU functions within the department for all product classes
To maintain good business relationship with stakeholders
To ensure processes are in compliance to the group standard.
To ensure fast turnaround time in responding to queries raised by stakeholders
The Role Responsibilities
Obtain assurance regarding the effectiveness of operational risk controls and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Challenge the completeness of risk control activities across Operational Risk Areas and identify and address any significant gaps that may exist between them
Maintain a good understanding of the requirements of the Group's key stakeholders in respect of operational risk management and ensure these are well understood
Build an effective control environment - perform CST checks effectively with NIL overdues and adherence to ORF.
Support UORM/RCLM/Product heads of R&C in the rationalism, automation, and consolidation of CST
Extend support during regulatory review/statutory audits and ensure timely submission of responses/actions
Engage in ORF/CST/KCSA revision when requiredEnhance Risk awareness - Build inspiring culture of challenge, striving to excel and forging human connections.
Our Ideal Candidate
Qualification & Experience
Degree or Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma in Finance/Accountancy/Banking or equivalent.
Minimum 2 years relevant experience in banking operation & Risk experience would be an added advantage
Technical Skills & Knowledge
Product Knowledge - Advance
Product knowledge on Derivatives (FX, Rates, Commodity and Credit), Fixed Income, FX, Money Market
Experience of working within treasury function in trade verification or matching or settlements
Experience in Risk & control Function
Has a critical and challenging mindset
Able to carry conversation with stakeholders
Good email writing skills
Attention to details required in checks
