The Yonge and Eglinton Branch of RBC Dominion Securities is currently seeking a licensed Branch Administrator to assist in the daily operations of the branch. The Branch Administrator fulfils a leadership role in the branch by providing operational and administrative support to the Branch Manager and Investment Advisor teams. In addition to managing client account activities and ensuring compliance standards are met, the Branch Administrator fulfils a diverse role which includes supervising branch staff, liaising with internal departments, providing software and process-related training, supporting human resources functions such as recruitment and employee relations and managing the branch facilities and equipment.
What will you do?
Implement Branch Manager's directives and ensure branch is efficiently and effectively managed
Supervise Branch Cage operations including signing authority for outgoing cheques and approval of daily transactions
Recruit new sales support staff including posting of available positions, interviewing and hiring
Conduct performance reviews with sales support staff, including regular feedback and coaching
Train new branch staff and coordinate ongoing training initiatives for existing branch staff
Ensure compliance and internal control requirements are met
Coordinate branch meetings and presentations with both external and internal presenters
What do you need to succeed?
Strong oral and written communication skills
Completion of the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) and the Conduct and Practices Handbook Course (CPH), IIROC-registered preferred
Minimum 3 years' experience in full-service brokerage industry
Attention to detail and organizational skills
Excellence in people manager accountabilities: Drive results, Enable high performance, Strengthen relationships and partnerships, and Lead change
Ability to work efficiently, multi-task and maintain professionalism in high pressure environments
Experience in Human Resources including managing talent, recruitment, and succession planning
