Role description: Analyst with focus on operational support and investors' management
Period: Full Time, 1 year contract renewable.
Compensation: competitive, salary + bonus based.
Location: Mayfair, London
Gold Grain Capital Ltd, an FCA regulated firm, being the designated advisor of the new investment fund BPEO1 is looking for a team member who will support the launch, execution and handle the investor relations of the fund. The fund is scheduled to be launched by June 2020.
The new member will also be involved with GGCL and BZH's future investment solutions.
The fund has been envisioned by BZH Capital Partners ("BZH"), an independent asset advisor based in New York city focused on the democratization of private capital. BZH is focused on creating innovative private capital markets products for an international investor base.
The team is small, but extremely dynamic and energetic. The culture is extremely entrepreneurial and problem solving oriented, with strong ethical values as the foundation of everything we do.
The selected candidate will be working from Gold Grain Capital's London office, hand in hand directly with BZH founder, an experienced investment banker with strong international banking and investment management background.
The role requires a self-starting, flexible and energetic mind set, with strong project management skills, combined with an ability to think out of the box, and a desire to learn and grow in the business.
Support GGCL and BZH Founder in executing the platform of the BPE01 fund launch which involves:
Managing existing investors (and maintaining investor database), helping them with signing NDAs, giving them access to online investor portal, help answering questions or directing these to other team members;
Making sure investors' follow ups are done timely by the broader team, including arranging calls and meetings on calendar, and liaising directly with team members to ascertain follow ups are achieved timely;
Managing on-line investor portal in terms of folders, documentation, and technology aspects liaising with technology provider if necessary;
Working on business development: support BZH founder and the GGCL team in looking for new investors;
Working with BZH founder on creating adequate periodical reporting documentation, and other remaining execution documentation;
Working with BZH founder and GGCL team on executing legal documentation around the product, which involves; liaising with lawyers, compliance officer and various service providers to ascertain process is progressing at pace and reading and informally commenting on legal documents.
Once the BPE01 fund is launched the candidate will help with:
Managing and servicing existing investor base;
Maintain investor database;
Working with BZH founder and the GGCL team on ongoing first product/vehicle management, periodical risk and reporting requirements;
Working with BZH founder and the GGCL team on new product launches, which include working on conceptualizing the product, meet with investment suppliers/managers, preparing marketing materials, getting in touch with existing investors, and look for new ones.
Managing KYC of investors and AML procedures for new products
Managing new product documentation + marketing material, liaising with all departments for review and approval.
Fluent in Italian and English
Job is London based, with a requirement to travel internationally if needed
Some experience in any of investment banking, investment management, private equity sponsor coverage or lending
Some experience dealing with lawyers and legal documentation
Commercial acumen and ability to deal appropriately with investors and service providers
Strong proficiency in all Microsoft office applications, especially Word, Power Point and Excel
Strong proficiency in cash flow modeling
Strong proficiency in Outlook and Internet applications
Ability to think out of the box, with a problem-solving attitude and strong independence
Strong ethics, and ability to work in a dynamic team
